Hi, my name is Carie Wille.  I am an experienced economic development professional with a demonstrated history of working across sectors, including public, private, and nonprofit organizations.  My work has led to: 

• solving financing gaps for organizations,

• building relationships between the public and private sector, and

• bringing together key stakeholders to solve problems.

A community-focused professional with a Bachelors in Housing Studies and Masters in Public Administration,  I began my career in urban planning and community development helping communities realize their long-term vision for growth.  This led to working in economic development, including:

• leading business retention and expansion programs,

• orchestrating financial incentive packages,

• updating policies around business subsidies,

• establishing effective marketing campaigns, and

• writing grant application proposals for numerous projects. 

I grew up in southeastern Minnesota along the shores of Lake Pepin in Lake City and spent much of my adult life in the Twin Cities metro area.  I now live  in Traverse City, Michigan with my husband and son and enjoy staying active through water skiing, running, and cross-country skiing, as well as traveling and going to concerts.
